Being English means not being called British being proud of your country and its history and despite what others might feel to be proud of the parliamentary changes that have improved the lot of most people in this country.
To be English is to love Devon cream teas and tiidy oggies, fish and chips not French fries Sunday lunch, trips to the seaside,Yorkshire pudding with or without jam, the women's institute, regimental bands, and respect for the fallen and freedom of speech and despite what some think good manners do maketh the man.
Others will have their views of course but for me those are some of the things that make me proud to be an eEnglishman.

If you put jam first, you need to apply butter on the scone or the jam will sink in. innit... Cream first for me....
