Unfortunately, like my car, you don't have the loom. This has sunk my plans too - although I would be prepared to knock up a replacement.
Has anyone here done this? I know that Nick at Austin Garages has done this in the past. In the mean time, I hope to find a loom in a scrapped car. If I ever do this, I'll take plenty of measurements and will post on the forum on how to make your own. |

Well, its another day and I thought I would give things another go. Arctic spotted something promising behind the fuse box in one of my earlier pics.
Here it is (turns out to be a bit of trim to protect a sharp edge unfortunately). I also found on the far left of the glove box another bundle of taped up wires and there were connectors in that one (just not the ones I was looking for!) Does anyone know what this cream one is for? There is also a similar one in blue. Confused of Dudley.........

Those are called headers all the wires will be the same colour in each one, one of those will be the reverse switch wire it's where I patched in my auto dim mirror.
John Edit: I think the white block with all the green/brown wires in it is the reverse switch wires.

I once met a member (shadowmobile) who had a facelift zt, and he was cursing ever buying it as it had literally no connections for anything! So if he was to retrofit anything ie electric seats, cruise, electric rear blind etc, it would be a royal pain in the backside!
Yet some, like mine seem to have all the connections? I think it's just the look of the draw, and they must of just stuck whicheverloom was closest in the factory. |
