I wish I had some crew with me this morning..

It's a glorious morning with not a breath of wind and warm and sunny.
Would be a lovely day for a cruise but not confident enough to take her out on the sea solo just yet.

Default Sun.

It would seem I have brought back some sunshine from Maderia.

Won't be short of my medication for a while. Picked up my repeat earlier and the one I had all the problems getting I've ended up with double the usual amount!

A problem with the heat exchanger would be a likely culprit I would suspect. VW Beetles had the same problem when one of the heat exchangers rotted through. A link for a working heater schematic from the company in Plymouth that I think you refer to. Espar

You might have noticed but Espar do have regional partners and distributors including a couple in Essex which might be able to provide a local service and possibly some advice. South East

Thought I'd got bread flour in Lidl . . . . until I checked when I got home . . . . bought a bread mix, sort of just add water for instant bread stuff . . . . buggeration! Need to go to Tesco after all.

This has been ongoing for a while now and with full contact with Espar.
The unit I have is now obsolete with limited parts supply so their suggested option is to send it to them to see if it can be restored.

The replacing of the exhaust had to be carried out either way as it was damaged.

If it can't be repaired then I have a decision to make. Cheap and cheerful Russian or Chinese knock off units or part with around £2000 for an eberspacher or similar.

At the moment it can wait, winter has pretty departed and I have electric heating when on our marina anyhow.

The warm air heating was only used for when away from our moorings and has been playing up for a few years. I'll take it out in the summer when hopefully demand for getting them sorted will have dropped off.

We have more pressing stuff to do over the next couple of months. Lady Emma needs to be hauled out onto the hard for bottom scrubbing, new anti foul paint, replacing of the anodes and new packing glands on the shafts. That will empty the pockets for the time being
