This type of thing requires precision engineering. Close does not make it. Only perfect does.

Like I said, it might be the case that other makes have an accessory that will do the job! I still think there is some mileage in this idea - even if the PT is not the right 'donor'...

Please don't let me put a damper on your efforts, if there is an alternative I'm all for it.

Maybe some chinese manufacturer assuming the tech drawings are good. They have a completely different coststructure and may not require the same qty. www.alibaba.com

This is all in hand and has been for several months. Patience is a virtue and will be rewarded.

BTW Welcome to the club and the forum as this is your first post.

Welcome Sionie1 as GG says - a lot of work has gone into trying to get these sorted (especially by GG in the first instance) so be patient and hopefully we will all be rewarded ...

Hi.

Thanks for the prompt reply, very grateful. One more question if I may!

I'm a member of the Rover 75 &MG ZT Owners club at http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk

Could you possibly put me in touch with the manufacturer of the MGR Part # VUB104150 - Door Finisher ?

We have 150+ club members ready to purchase this item so if the manufacturer would be interested in a re-make deal, we have a fair sized minimum order waiting.

Regards,

Rich Kavanagh

Well, it can't hurt to ask can it?
