Just phones a sample few of these

All now out of stock!! So the web is out of date.

But interstingly the supplier at County Garage Bodmin who is showing 3 but has none, told me they had a batch of Equivalent pattern one's which I've never heard of.

Price of those was £330 ! but they've sold out!

Xpart delivery is said to be Feb 2008:SHOCKED:

That's a pity as I have used thepart.com on many occasions and found the parts inventory accurate. Obvioulsy fan motors are the exception

When using thepart.com I notice that if you search Landrover and or Independant parts and not just Xpart you also find some suppliers there too.

I think it depends when the dealers update their lists, some on that list are from last month, two are dated yesterday.

Situation is desparate now with cars off the road waiting for cooling motors.
They received mine the next day, I only ordered it at 4pm. Very quick. Went to have it fitted, and they told me two hoses were leaking. They arrived after two days.
The car is now booked in for Monday 16th. Should all be sorted then, but with a bill that any duck would be proud of.

arent we all getting a bit rabid over this? surely we're just back to the position where we get hold of the the larger siemens motor for diesel/petrol 2.5, or the smaller motor for the smaller engines... and just re-use our control box wiring just like Les has been suggesting for most of the batch he had?
I realise these need to be like for like (i.e. you probably cant swap around the original with the revised units) but there must be a degree of choice out there...?

would be interested if Jules thinks, with greeners developments on the brushes front, whether brush overhaul is a feasible option taking into account keiths prev comments about damaging the bearings and or tabs when stripping the motor? i.e. there is an opportunity cost and a risk involved which hasnt been "tested" much yet.
