Default Started as a rumble ended as a flood

Looking at my recent rumbling in the cdti. Eventually
Found the driveshaft support bearing is utterly knackered. Shaft flopping from side to side. Then while letting the jack down the wood block I was using split and a sliver went up and punctured the lower hose doh. So something else to get..

Oh great! Just what you didn't need, at least the bearing isn't a bad job to do.

Just the hub off shaft out etc is it ..

Got a feeling the Wheel bearing and the Lower arm might be suspect to,

3rd arm and 3 rd wheel bearing since 2014

This is because there is a distinct lack of good quality spare parts available......still never mind

Yup ....

Ever since my minor Accident in 2014 and it was repaired by a "insurer Recommended garage" who replaced far too many parts on the OS front corner & rogered SAGA insurance unmercifully to the tune of nearly 1600 quid , that front corner has been a ?????...( can't think of a decent word to cover my feelings " .

All parts were supposedly supplied by a Company begining with "R"

The other 3 corners are still MGR on 149k and still ok at present.

So started on this .. bottom ball joint bolt out easy ..

Bottom joint out of the hub .. no chance ... just cannot shift it

Tried all methods with what I have toolwise.

Thought best to undo the main CV shaft Nut before going any further .

As its probably tight ?

Yup ,cannot budge it .. bent my 1/2 drive bar trying .

So all back together and a rethink ? .

Will have to drive it rattlely again for a short while .

Off to finish my bounday wall the Co op lorry demolished
