swearing

swearing is not allowed on this forum. I wrote a post but have not committed it as I have used works that sound like... I was not sure if I would get into trouble but to be honest I'm not sure how I could demonstrate my anger. The worst swear word for me is one that starts with C and for me to use that I have to be really upset.

so my question is, how to convey anger without using such words as those that start with a C or an F?

oh and can I use words that sound like and get away with it ?

use the emoticons...

it is better to swear and let the filter **** the word out than try to use rhyme or fu** (FUSS) as I got told off for that and I also was trying to be polite.... you don't get ********* if you let the filter do it...

These are the rules to follow....

The system works by replacing the offending word with a series of asterisks. However, we have a lot of children that read the forums, generally with a parent or the slightly older ones on their own. Parents can have some difficulty in explaining what all the *** words are and more so those that are typed in e.g. t**t. 2.1 using special characters to blank out part of the word
2.2 using spaces between letters
2.3 adding offensive terms inside other words
2.4 misspelling the word
2.5 using a language other than English for an offensive word or term

As Pete says, use the emoticons to express anger

Me personally I don't feel the need to swear as I think it's a crass thing to do. There are many other words in the English language that can portray your feelings other than swear words.

But unfortunately the larger extent of the youthful populous do not share such an extensive library of rhetoric and subtlety and they think you are taking the **** out of them...

no, but I have never been told off for making use of it, I have for trying hard not to...

Pistols, brolac and sugar have always been good standbys for me though I don't think I've ever felt the need to express myself in that way on this forum.
