Between showers I took the drivers door card off to investigate why the door wouldn't lock or unlock on the key but worked fine with the remote.
Got the actuator out and all looked good, couldn't see why. Put it all back together and now it works - don't think the "dogbone" bit was pushed home properly before. An hour well spent. It hadn't moved since the Elsham Hall meeting so took it for a spin to give the batt a bit of charge.

Got a chipped windscreen on the project car when a passing lorry kicked a stone up.😪
Went to mams to move the silver saloon, to find it had broken the nsf spring.😡 Still, at least it hasn’t punctured the tyre yet.🤪 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleaned all round the fuel filler cap area on the new acquisition, and refitted the OSF brake caliper anti rattle spring, which wasn't clipped in correctly on the lower side.

Had a pair of Avon ZV7 tyres fitted on the front, to now match the rears. Nice and quiet ride.

Took mine on a little drive, then ordered yet more parts
One day I'll not live on the 3rd floor of a block of flats and have the space to fit them |

Not today but over the last few days, with MOT day coming up on Friday, though I would give the rear suspension a check over, and whilst the N/S looks fine with just a little surface corrosion, the O/S looked like this.......
As far as I'm aware the N/S arm hasn't been replaced, and I could even read the code and colour on the spring, so I wonder why the O/S is so bad? |

I have often wondered why the offside components corrode more than the nearside.
It is certainly true with my car, too. Someone once gave me a theory that it is due to the camber on the road causing better puddle washing of the salt.
