Default Ignitian/Key Pads

Today the second one went with the fairies!

I have been using my second (reserve) key until today. Now on that one the remote open button has disappeared and left a hole in it's place. I can now only open the door manually, not a disaster but inconvenient. The other button locking the doors is still o.k.

The same thing has already occurred with my other key.

I suppose after 15 years usage they can be expected to start being naughty.

What is the best way to get sorted? Ideally of cause without buying new replacements.

The fob bit is replaceable and the circuit board, immobiliser chip and blade can be transferred over.
I have just picked up the first one I found on Ebay but there are many others

Other forum members may have an opinion as to which is best.

I'd seek advice from marinabrian or BigRuss as to the best replacement key body to go for rather than throwing a dart at Ebay. There's some Chinese ones on the go that are cr*p, won't go together properly or work without modification.

And Ray's key arrived today along with it's "new" casing.

The new casing been posted back along with his refurbished key, I've yet to have seen a worse copy of a case ever.

The two halves of the casing wouldn't clip together, and the blade wouldn't fit into the housing, apart from that it was ok

Hopefully Ray will post up a link to the casing he bought, so the seller can be avoided at all cost.

Still awaiting new stock coming in, as I've used the last of my key caes fixing Ray's key
