Rover 75 Tourer SRS controller programming
My old SRS controller had fried (no self test - airbag light on permanently - no communication with diagnostic software - MOT fail).A brand new one has been fitted (not pre-used) and working OK ( now runs self test on startup - and will now communicate with diagnostic computer).
However, it seems the new contoller thinks my tourer is a saloon and puts the airbag warning light on - seems it's something to do with the rear seat belt set-up being different beween saloon and estate. So, my question is, does anyone know if a T4 diagnostic system can reprogram the controller? Or do I have to try and find one specifically for the Tourer? None I have seen for sale indicate which model they are for! The part number on the new controller is identical to the old one ie. I don't think they are re programmable, somebody may correct me but I've always been lead to believe you need one from the same model and the same number of airbags. I know trikey (a trader here) was breaking a tourer, have a word with him. I have set it up so that if you click on his name it will bring up the page to send him a personal message.
