Default closing my business down

i opened a business in 2006 reclaiming bank charges, in 2007 the oft got involved and all clames were placed on hold and so was my business, we earnt a good living for about 12 months, it was always going to be a short lived thing, but with the oft losing the court case and pulling out, i have taken the decision to close my reclaiming business (BankBusters) for good, its a shame but i think trying to reclaim bank charges now is liken to flogging a dead horse. oh well, i also buy sell and repair laptop which is also a lucrative venture. i dont know why i am telling you guys its not like you knew i had it, i suppose i am just letting off some steam and letting it out.

but the good thing it it owes me nothing and i owe it nothing

Sorry to hear about your reclaiming business

Maybe you can tell me how much it is to fit a new video card to a Dell XPS M170 laptop as my one blew up about 6 months ago

the cheapest off the top of my head would be approx £135 fitted, then you would have to pay carraige, my advice is sell it as spares. how do you know its the card (quote is for 64 mb card, just fitted one about 2 weeks ago)

Anywhere from 50 to 200 for a replacement card from ebay.
Have you tried one of the repair places where you send your card to.?
Removal is quite easy

Dell 9300 ones will fit - Think I have one somewhere

The video card is a 256MB, NV42, XPS-GEN2

The screen started getting lines on it and slowly got worse till the screen was blank, tried a external screen and still blank;

these cards do come loose, if you feel brave open it ia make sure its seated correctly.
the one i quoted will get you up n running, if you not playing games then its ok, does it have blu-ray, if you are looking to sell then the going price for people like me in the trade is £75, you may get more on ebay, if i bought it i would be looking to put a high end card in it to make some money on it, if some one local to you says they would sell it for parts then they are lying, with the know how to put right it would make money, if you break it and sell it you may make more.
