The MG6 saw one today
The new MG6 i saw my first one today close up at the Cars in the park show, have to admit the styleing is growing on me but the engine is just a revamped 1.8i 16v turbo engine out of the likes of the 75 and the interior looks like theres been a sale at a tupperware plant, nice size boot mind

The more I look at this new model the more I want one,the whole thing is growing on me,it looks so practical.
Depending on how these cars depreciate, with a comprehensive warranty I think they will make excellent second hand purchases. The wifes car is due for renewal and if I can talk her out of a Fiat 500 and perhaps hold off until next year and see how the residuals of this car pan out. The engine has had a few tweeks from Toyota so hopefully the cooling errors have been ironed out. |

Mg6
I have to say i actually like the look of the MG6, very different from the 75/ZT, it's "modern" in a Mazda 6 kind of way, not seen one in the flesh yet though.

Where have you heard that from? I know MG Rover Powertrain did the design before they collapsed and SAIC-MG finished it off. Its basically a K-series produced on a new MG Rover production line and casting that was shipped out prior to the crash of 2005

The last time we had an in depth discussion on this car,the topic was raised regarding the unit. The picture of the engine bay and the position of the coolant header tank prompted me to mention this Toyota association in my post. I will take look for the old thread or try to find some additional information on this when I return to my PC |

Again as previosly stated if the reliability is up to standard their is no reason why this car is not considered an option against the mainstream brands.. |
