Default Bad Deisel consumption or dickiie trip?

HHi guys,
here is one i donnt really understand .
I did a brim fill on my CDTi and got 350 for 55ltrs. Now i put this down to the auto box fault i have had i.e not changing correctly.(trip not funtioning till yesterday

so yesterday i brim filled again , and on the trip it shows 28mpg. Now granted i have only covered 50miles since resetting and filling but surely it cannt be correct?

anyone got any ideas?

Hi

I have a manual diesel with a duff thermostat and I get consistently 10 miles per litre, ie 45 mpg.

I would have thought the auto box would lose you about 4 mpg so you should be getting about 40mpg - 8.81 miles per lire. So for a 55 litre tankfull about 485 miles.

Its very much down to the roads you're on.

Mine will happily cruise at 45 mpg on the motorway but in town it struggles to do over 30.

With the synergy on 10 I average about 35 which isn't too bad as I do alot of town/traffic driving.

Hi all. My tourer returned just under 51mpg on a recent trip to liverpool (mainly motorway) and general use and a 16 mile "A" road commute gives around 38. I've done a few brim to brim checks and the message centre reading is pretty accurate so well happy here. Regards, Mark
