Thanks guys
................ well! she is all ready for tomorrow, she's looking her best. Its amazing how all that dirt and road grime hides her beauty, she is 10 years young today (yeah! I know I'm sad). So wish both of us luck, will be using a local garage and dropping her off in the morning. |

Failed
............ but not on the Handbrake! (that's an advisory). Wasn't too bad but then again its still gonna cost a few hundred quid to give her a pass. Failed on... 1. Windscreen has sticker or another obstruction encroaching into the swept area by more than 40mm outside zone. 2. Nearside headlamp aim to high and too far to the left. 3. Offside headlamp aim too far to the left. 4. Offside front anti-roll bar linkage has excessive play in a ball joint. 5. Nearside front (to rear) brake pipe inadequately clipped. 6. Nearside front (to rear) brake pipe inadequately supported. 7. Offside rear coil spring fractured. Advisory Items..... 8. Nearside direction indicator slightly discoloured. 9. Nearside front (below 2mm) Tyre worn close to the legal limit. 10. Offside front tyre worn close to legal limit. 11. Rear exhaust has part of the system slightly deteriorated. 12. Rear anti-roll bar corroded but not seriously weakened. 13. Nearside rear suspension arm corroded but not seriously weakened. 14. Offside rear suspension arm corroded but not seriously weakened. 15. Nearside rear coil spring corroded. 16. N/S wiper blade splitting. 17. Handbrake minimal reserve travel. So what do you think guys? is she worth doing |

Unlucky mate.
I think we all hate getting our cars MOT'd no matter how old or young they are. Hope you get it all sorted out soon. |

I totally agree, its silly on what little things class as a falure now-a-days.
Would anyone know if these springs would be any good for my 75 , i.e quality etc... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...#ht_1266wt_732 Does anybody know what the going rate is for a garage to fit x2 rear coil springs these days.....? |
