Yesterday on the local BBC news it was reported that the amount of people testing positive in Swindon had gone up 300% in Swindon. Oh gosh I think that is terrible and that will be the next city to be locked down.

The local news reported the truth, this week the amount of people testing positive with Covid 19 went from 1 to 4 this week.

Why is it the BBC always seem to put a bad slant on the news?

I just don't get it, they always seem to be trying to make it sound worse than it is.

Sometimes you want to take the recipient of the information down a particular path and so the way you present the information, is important in the attempt to lead them where you want them to go.
It is only when the facts are looked into does a full understanding become apparent.

Last year we had a friend of my wifes stay with us for a week, she lives in Canada and has done for the last 30 years. We had the news on one evening and she was shocked, she reckoned in Canada for every bad piece of news they put at least one piece of positive piece of news and some days she reckons the news is so positive that it looks like there is nothing bad happening in the world.

We also showed her Naked Attraction, her jaw almost hit the floor. Apparently naked bodies are rarely shown on Canadian TV and if they are they are usually blurred out.

They ran a story yesterday regarding the turnaround times for testing. The headline was something along the lines of 20% of tests where taking longer than 24hr, ok the pm had promised a higher %, however 80% within 24hrs would be a more positive headline but no run with a negative.

Personally I think it should be called the But Broadcastng Corporation.

Hopefully there will be an independent commission set up to look into how the BBC have reported this emergency.
