wind
Hi all, the wind round here is pretty wild and keeps setting my alarm off. I have now locked it with the key rather than the remote. Its working so far , so fingers crossed . My query is, what have I disabled by locking with key ? Any advice would be more than welcome.
Thanks in advance Regards Mark |

When locking with the key the alarm is activated but the doors do not deadlock and the interior sensor is disabled.
Copied from the driver's manual: With the key: 1. Insert the key and turn the door lock towards the rear of the car: (Operating tip: Locking with the key will not activate superlocking) · all doors locked (not superlocked) · perimetric alarm activated (protects the doors, bonnet and boot) · NO INTERIOR SPACE PROTECTION 2. The direction indicator lights flash three times to confirm that the car is securely locked and the anti-theft alarm indicator light (in the instrument panel) starts to flash. |

Thanks for the replies, alarm hasn't gone off again so far, I did have issues with water leakage into sat nav a few yrs ago, but with advice from here, that was also sorted. I can rest easy now I know things will be ok,
thanks guys, Regards Mark |
