Any recommendations for exhaust rubber removal tools
Hi need to renew my hanger rubbers and seen that you can get pliers rather than the hook type tools, any recommendations please ?
Thanks

Stanley knife with a good sharp blade, cut through them easy enough.

I used one of these when I changed the muffler and tailpipe on my truck. I was re-using the original rubber hangers. Mine is a 6 inch, but a 4 inch is probably wide enough and easier to get into tight spaces.

when fitting it was suggested to me to use some washing up liquid and water on the inside of the rubber hanging hole and on the peg, it did seem to help.

Another way to do it is push back as far as you can the old rubber hanger, insert the new hanger onto the pins, once they are started or even on with the old ones if enough room can be gained, then cut of the old ones as above with a sharp knife, or cutter pliers.
The above method gives to to hands to do the job instead on trying to hold up the exhaust and trying to add the new rubber hangers.
