Unhappy Diesel clutch problems

I'm really having problems. I have a 53 plated 75 diesel, manual.
I have a local garage who generally look after my car, but I've lost faith in them.
In the last 2 years I've had 4 slave cylinders leaking over the driven plate. I'm about to have a 5th slave cylinder and driven plate installed.
What is my garage doing wrong?
I'm in Spain on the Costa Blanca.
The car in 2 years has been driven about 6,000 kilometers only.
Clutch no 5 and slave cylinder about to be fitted.
The master cylinder was replaced 2 years ago.
I seem to be replacing the slave cylinder every 6 months. Why?
I need urgent advise! Please help if you can.
What are they doing wrong?

If it is a genuine LUX it should be ok, Then the only thing that can cause a problem is the way they are fitting it.it is known that if you let the G/B hang on the input shaft when fitting it will cause problems as will the tube that the slave slides on.if it is distorted or not lubricated correctly. There is a lot of posts on the forum regarding this.. maybe have a search for the info.

The garage are now telling me it is the connector between the master & slave cylinders leaking and fluid running into the clutch area. They can't get one here in Spain so I gave then Rimmers details. Fingers crossed.

The only connector I can think of that is not at the master or slave is a push fit connector in the engine bay. This is not normally a replacement item as it forms part of the hydraulic hose. If it were leaking at this push fit, I would expect fluid to drip down. If it is leaking where hose and connector fit together on the slave side, I would perhaps expect to see hydraulic fluid on top of the bell housing, gear box as fluid may run along the pipe and then down the pipe. There is a bleed nipple on a second pipe that comes from the slave, is this leaking?

What details have you given them?

Any chance you can have them show you were it is leaking and you take a photo and post on this thread?

Default Parts

The garage still has my car. They showed me the part leaking. (It is now the 4th time it has been separated. No wonder its leaking.)

The gear box has now been removed totally. Awaiting new parts? Its on a post lift at the moment.

Its now been over 2 months for this latest repair.

I think, looking at their setup, that the gearbox is being left to hang and its damaging the slave cylinder/slide tube. The engine is hanging at an angle. They're unaware of the inherent rover problems. I've tried to inform them but my Spanish is not good enough.

If things go as in the past the clutch will fail again around 6 months after its returned to me. That's at about 2,500km. The car still doesn't have 160,000kms on it. (100k miles).

The car has no other fault. It runs well. Electrics are fine. No body rot. The clutch is the only problem.
