Default Airbag light on and water damage.

Can anyone advise how to remove the centre consul, manual gearknob plus rear seat, also the radio etc I have removed the eyebrow but am stuck as there are just 2 small slots each end of the radio and am not sure how to proceed from now.

This will enable me to remove the carpet as it is soaking.

I have done the sunroof drain modifications and removed the seats of my LHD car here in Spain and as I am on holiday I need to get this done quickish but am stuckon the carpet removal. pLUS MY BACK AND LEGS HURT NOW AFTER ALL THE BENDING AND TWISTING DOING THE MODIFICATIONS LOL.

Any help greatly appreciated.

The slots either side of the radio are for thin metal tools that slide in and release the spring clips holding the radio in. Although I've never tried it apparently you can get away with a couple of hacksaw blades, remove the pin at the end of the blade first obviously.

Thanks for that Steve, might also try a knife blade.

Will that enable the consul surround to come away then do you think. I have taken out the two screws in the lower middle.

See if this helps https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=55332
Gear knob just pull up, mind your nose
Rear seat, lift up the base, pull towards the front.
There's a couple of bolts behind the rear ashtray/cubby too

Hi Steve,

Tried a junior hacksaw blade, with the pin removed! Goes right in, but no movement of radio and does not appear to move anything.

Once the radio is removed does that allow you to access screws or something so that that part of the consul is released?

The radio is secured by 2 screws top corners, then ease out

Its not a job I've done before so couldn't say. There is useful info in this thread https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=182781.

I have managed to remove the gearnob, pull up but mind your nose! Thank you.

I still cannot get the radio to move using a thin blade in the 2 slots, I also have a cassette linked, but no movement! any other ideas? I think once the radio and heater assy is removed the consul should come out.

Have you removed the 2 screws above the radio?
