I think the UK should be building up more gas storage capacity. Last time i read we only had a few days worth stored.

Red face

I don't believe there is any prospect of there being a shortage of hot air around Westminster.

Tell Putin that he must surrender, or we will send Tony Blair.

Think we want to solve the problem, not make worse.

He seems to be everywhere just now. Poking his nose in, again. His overseas contacts must have rumbled him. Was there ever a more shameless blaggard. I detect a tinge of desperation about him. Not unlike a midden.

We've been in pay talks with the blue chip company I work at since December. The were against a 4% 12 month deal, offering 2.75% initial. I keep telling our team (and other colleagues) that this will be the next '73 period. They don't seem to see the full impact this will have as I did as I lived through it.

Treasury/BoE forecast is 10% inflation. Pah! If it is not 15% by the end of this year I'll give up soothsaying! ;-)

Question

Now that Renault have pulled out of Russia, Moscow is toying with the idea of bringing back the Moskvich.

But what would you prefer ?

1) ~20 year old ROVER 75. OR:
2) A modern Moskvich, with modern features, such as .....

Emm electric wing mirror switches that actually work during the MOT.
No integrated swimming pool behind the driver's seat.
The lack of integrated swimming pool that washes the passenger's feet, when doing a sharp right-hand turn.
A crankshaft sensor that isn't worn out or dodgy when hot.
Spare parts that have to be programmed into the car's brain.
Genuine plastic dashboards.
Electric seats that don't self-test the SRS light, everytime you move them back.
A suspension system that laughs when faced by a typical Russian tarmac, rather than having to fit spring 'protectors'

Is this what we really want ???

I would want a Wartburg 311 - it was pure elegance.
