Default rear n/s window not opening

hi all i am having a problem with one of the windows on my Mk1 tourer when i try to put it down i can hear the click and nothing happens, then i press up i can hear it clicking again is sounds like a window that's frozen shut i'm sure most have experienced that sound any ideas thanks in advance

Hi George.
It sounds like one of the plastic cable links as broken or even the cable it's self, afraid it's door card off investigating what as happened, you may need another window mechanism, i have a few spares if you do need one, so take a look and report back to us.

PS have you tried the window switch in the door it's self as well as the main switch on the drivers door.

thanks for your reply Arctic i will get the door card off soon right now i am isolating due to covid I'm ok just lethargic cant be bothered doing anything but will get round to it plus couple of other things needing attended to once again thank you
