Guess what?
Yup! Banana broke down again this morning. Refused point blank to re start. Even Allen tried. Turns over but refused to fire. Called the AA, they arrived at 12.05. Gave the mechanic the keys, and she started up and ticked over ok.
I think seeing the AA van shocked Banana into starting. I had trouble starting her last Tuesday. So with Allen following Banana is back at the workshop. Won’t get looked at till Monday but I’m ok with that. Still got the Bear, or there is always the bus or shank’s pony.

It’s electrical as you cannot hear the fuel pump priming.

An AA van parked just along the street from us this morning and I thought of you hope I didn't jinx it mate.
Just a thought Rimmers still list the front loom as available for a little over £20 changing that would eliminate one possible cause.

I am afraid Bob, you will have to put your foot down with a firm hand. Banana is taking a liberty at the moment because she is a bit jealous of the Bear. Park the Bear outside my house for a few days, and give me the keys, and I will make sure I start it up every day. You will find that you will have no more problems with the Banana. Honest.

Banana home, again.
Allen gave me a lift in “Leafy” to go and collect Banana from Polyne Garage. She was basking in the sun topping up her Yellowness.
Spoke to the auto electrician who had located the problem, fault laid with the fuel pump relay, one of the pins was not going to earth when the ignition was turned on, the pin was staying live. Trikey had very kindly sent me three new relays last year, and I had fitted one of these. So the garage fitted another new one and it has cured the problem, hopefully. I’ll give her a good run out tomorrow. She needs a wash. Many thanks for all the advice.
