Default Water ingress - please help

Hi all. I have just traveled a long way down motorways etc at various speeds up to 80mph. On arriving at my destination I found the rear footwell behind the drivers seat soaking. I know the weather was really bad and at times I could barely see for spray but this is very localized. Does anyone know of usual suspect areas that will allow water to get in? The door entry step is dry BTW so I'm not convinced it is the door seal. Thanks.

Lift the rear seat up on the drivers side, and check the tube you will find that comes from the rear off side wheelarch, under the rear seat and curls round towards the centre of the car. Probably rotted away. Easy enough to see and repair.

Thanks. I will have a look tomorrow. It probably has rotted because the car was stood for 8 years before I got it.

So, after taking up the rear base we found that both sides if the seat base 'impressions' if thats the right word, were absolutely full of water and had soaked into the sponge of the seat base. after much swearing and drying out we made the assumption that it had been coming in for some time. We have just fixed the rear light seals and the result was a dry boot boot. When that water was coming in it was directly in line with the back seat 'impressions'. Hopefully we have fixed the problem. I will keep you all posted.
