Default Cheap battery maintainers????

Are cheap battery maintainers any good? I am using a solar panel on the Avensis which seems to work okay short term for the virus period, but the MG is in the garage so I can't use one. I have just topped it up with a normal charger, but reading more into it, the battery should be cycled properly for longevity?

Someone posted a cheap maintainer on Amazon on here about £15 a few months back, but they had sold out when I clicked. Do they work? Can someone recommend another around this price? I can't spend a lot as on furlough, but would like something like this rather than lugging my large charger around, especially if its better for the car!

That was the Suaoki ICS4+. I bought one and it really works well.

I "Froogled" it and the only one I can find at a reasonable price is coming from Germany with a 2 pin plug.

I can't find one of those either. There are loads of others on the market, but I have little knowledge about them so I don't know which ones are any good! Anyone got any recs or ideas? Thanks.

Check the Aldi & Lidl websites - they often have their 'intelligent' chargers which monitor the battery and charge as necessary. They cost around £18 and I've had one from each shop for years- there's one sat on the car now (which hasn't moved for 4 weeks) and the other on my caravan battery (which I fear won't be used much this year).

Hi,as above,I'm on my second Lidl smart charger, the first lasted over 6 yrars,I use it on all my cars and motorbikes that are not used to keep the battery topped up,they are smart trickle chargers that can be left connected and they monitor the battery and top up when required.Although mine are Lidl I presume Aldi are similar. They will not resuscitate a dead battery below about 10 volts I think.Regards Ry.....

Dawn, It says that ..."We will ship the item within 1-2 business days from United Kingdom"
I find that a number of these sellers have a China/Hong Kong address but they have a warehouse in this country from which they ship from.

I'm so confused. I have just been reading you need the right maintainer according to battery size. I've seen them from 0.8 up to 6amp. Which is right for a 2.5 then?

This one looked ok but is only 0.8?
