Default What are these??

Hello,

My dad fitted new seats to his 75 today and found these loosely rolling around under the rear seats:

Any idea what they are, they are really heavy??

Cheers!

I just think they are off something else and probably been under the seat before your dad owned it.

If Rover fitted them after PPD they would not be heavy and solid metal they would have been something that was plastic and very flimsy

I am pretty certain they are not off a 75 mate.

Well, thanks for the input, I was hoping that maybe someone who may have worked for Rover would say" Yeah used on the production line for fitting------"
It's just that they were in the corner of the bottom of the rear seat as though they had been dropped, these are the original seats and look like they have been there since production, they are of extremely high quality stainless steel with 3/8th's square holes and as I said earlier, really heavy. Oh well, there is no prize for anyone, it's not a competition, although it could be an earner of respect for the most logical answer.
Thank you all, keep guessing!! Regards DaDragon:
