Default Black Dipstick

Why oh why is the dipstick's business end black. It is impossible to read easily. Is there another reason?

I agree Fred as mine's black too. I have seen other KV6s with a beige graticule though.

I couldn't agree more, about the black dipstick.

My early cars were probably all with dipsticks that were metal, and easy to read.

I did think about painting the graticule on my KV6 a white or cream colour, and probably I will, one day.

Regards

Mike
