This subject always attracts suspicion. Whenever any oil change is carried out there will be a film left behind and some pools in the cam carrier casting but the quantity is minimal as a proportion of the 5 litres capacity of the KV6. This principle, of course, also applies to the contaminated oil if no flushing process is performed. If that's considered acceptable then why also isn't a product sold by a specialist lubricant manufacturer for decontamination purposes? I've used Comma Flush Out when necessary on several of my cars with no ill effects. Perhaps the best example of this is the 150,000 miles I put on my SD1 engine with no repairs being necessary. It retained the original camshaft, hydraulic tappets and passed the MOT with emissions impressively below the required level. For these reasons I have no hesitation in recommending Comma Flush Out to members. All the best, Simon PS I haven't had to use flushing oil for some time now as oil changes more frequent than the manufacturer's recommendation has rendered it unnecessary.

Here's a copy of a copy of the MGR Technical Bulletin.
It's a bit blurred, but readable using the enlarge button. TC |

I had this on my ZT 190. Then I put some engine flush in the oil, let the car idle for 20 mins and drained the oil and left it to drain for a further 20 mins. Used Petronas oil and fault was cured. It only happened on start up for about 10 seconds when it occurred. Car was quieter after and never occurred again.
