More highway code changes on the way before self driving cars are allowed on UK roads, You will be allowed to watch TV whilst the self driving car is travelling but using a mobile phone will still be illegal

I found this staggering
"It will, however, still be illegal to use mobile phones in self-driving mode, given the greater risk they pose in distracting drivers as shown in research, says the Department for Transport (DfT)."
