Mine too!
You've hit the nail on the head there Ron. We're fed a load of nonsense by organisations that don't know what they're talking about! Simon

We're fed a load of nonsense by exspurts on the the Internet.
Sadly folks believe it. We have fancy light bulbs throughout the house which are supposedly low energy, not seen much reduction in my lecky bill though. |

Do you cook before 08.30? That's when the discounted period ends (BST). Simon

Used to fit them for a living, mostly where the house owner had storage radiators installed, rarely when they did not. When we did install them without the heating we would quite often remove them 12 months later as not economical. The tariff was called D5, if I remember correctly D1 was a normal domestic tariff. When customers changed over to gas central heating from one of the legacy tariffs that used to give a midafternoon boost, they used to install sockets on the old storage heater outlets so that they could use whatever they wanted when the tariff timeswitch clicked on. Some industrial/commercial installations used to have a tariff where the timeswitch had to be reset every clock change. Cushy number until we had to gain access to the banks. Oh happy days. |

I wonder what the electricity consumption was in the Bide-A-Wee mansion, in "Carry On Screaming" ?
