The US had locked up many of its "reserve" wells due to (ahem) green policies and some efforts at price manipulation (more like) and are now going to release a huge chunk of the reserves to "help" to stabilize oil prices and supplies (how kind they are ???). I may be a bit of an old cynic but this whole situation has a bit of a whiff to it!

I remember oil at $40 a barrel for years and years and years and ...............

I’ve kept an eye on my local fuel station as I drive past everyday. The 5p reduction from last week never materialised at the pump and yesterday diesels went up by 9p a litre.

I was eventually forced to fill the X5............almost £150!!!!!!!

Thankfully my wife's come down with COVID which means I can use the EV for the next week so that should keep the fuel bill down!

(she's alright though just a bit moany!)

It's just crazy here in North wales the prices have taken a huge jump it's just bonkers my little run around fiesta takes 60 quid of diesel too fill it and it's only got a baby tank.

The coupe well I can only use E5 on her if I put E10 in it runs like a bag of spanners and all random fault codes.

E5 is super expensive and makes me want too cry when I fill her up.

It only took 4 weeks for the record highs in the OP first post to be surpassed, as you can see above.

I noted with the 5p the Gov said would be taken off, it went down to £1.84 at both stations i mentioned Tuesday it's back up to £1.87 already.

By the end of the month i bet it will £1.95 or there about.

Looks like Stafford Rd junction with M54 Steve? Catching folks jumping on to the motorway, almost always more expensive. No excuse though.
