The US had locked up many of its "reserve" wells due to (ahem) green policies and some efforts at price manipulation (more like) and are now going to release a huge chunk of the reserves to "help" to stabilize oil prices and supplies (how kind they are ???). I may be a bit of an old cynic but this whole situation has a bit of a whiff to it!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-60936468 I remember oil at $40 a barrel for years and years and years and ...............

I’ve kept an eye on my local fuel station as I drive past everyday. The 5p reduction from last week never materialised at the pump and yesterday diesels went up by 9p a litre.

I was eventually forced to fill the X5............almost £150!!!!!!!
Thankfully my wife's come down with COVID which means I can use the EV for the next week so that should keep the fuel bill down! (she's alright though just a bit moany!)

The coupe well I can only use E5 on her if I put E10 in it runs like a bag of spanners and all random fault codes. E5 is super expensive and makes me want too cry when I fill her up.
