Hi Kev.
Both fuel garages i am referring to are notorious for putting the price up with a blink of an eye they were the same when it was short because of the drivers during covid.

And they are the last to drop the price and never as much as other garages, both in prime spots of getting onto the motor way. went past today.

Note they are both big petrol companies, its utter greed with these i think, i now travel 4 miles and get the diesel for £1.65

Filled my Transit up with fuel on the way home as I have a busy day tomorrow, £152. If it stays at this level I wont be making any money. With the price of everything going up its going to be a tough time, I had an Email from a supplier today that all his products will be going up between 18% and 20%, yes I can pass some of that on but I suspect I will have to absorb some of it.

Paid £1.55 over the weekend, just for my mower. See it's now £1.62.

Apparently the reduction isn't having much affect:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-60912704

No change then in the perception that it goes up quickly and down slowly. Whilst it's still over a £100/barrel.

Me BP shares seem to be doing OK though. Every cloud as they say

No your not, there must be a price point when the sales decline as with any product. We all need this stuff but we can use less of it if we decide too. I know for one the wife was talking about going down to the coast at the weekend for a day out but when she filled her car up she changed her mind.

I must buy Diesel for my van but even that I am looking at, if a customer only wants a small order I will wait until I am nearer as making a special trip is unecomic. Odlly it has increased some customers orders as I they dont want me to be out of pocket. Another cloud and silver lining?

Both of the petrol forecourts i posted above as of today changed their prices to £1.84 i bet that will last a week then they will rise it back up again, (Rishi Sunak) is only trying to make himself look good he could easy cut VAT on the fuel.

The petrol prices and cost of living will not bother him ( he is thought to be the richest sitting MP, worth a reported £200 million.) nor will it bother any MP their wages are going up (Parliamentary Standards Authority announced it was boosting MPs' salaries by £2,212 a year.) so increasing their pay by 2.7% from £81,932 to £84,144.

We are being took fore mugs and it's our own fault we voted these people in.

Blimey! Local fuel thefts from vehicles & forecourt drive offs are up 215% this month here Some petrol stations are restricting how much fuel you can buy at one go now.

The trouble is that whoever gains power will not turn down more money. It's a human failing and hence why bribery is effective.
