Default Nothing easy!

Hi,decided to sort out the sticking bonnet latches on the ZT yesterday after several attempts for them to work freely, seems it had been a long term problem as the previous owners had dented the front of the bonnet previously.Head lights needed polishing anyway.Bumper off, slam panel off yesterday, couple of hours wasted due to some bolts needed drilling out.Today decided to take the radiator fan assembly off as it is the 3 speed, was not activating so thought I'd check the brushes.Had to drill the 3 torx screws out holding the shroud to the motor that's as far as I got.So far a day's work turned into two.Hopefully the tangs holding the cover on the motor will not give me too much grief tomorrow. Now feeling my age with aches and pains.Cider over the weekend should help!
Regards Ry......

I feel your pain brother. Or at least I feel my own which is running parallel to yours by the sound of it. Oiking both front struts & springs off overran to two days like your jobs and I'm heading for a late-night bath and a good malt.

Dougie.

Hi,took the radiator fan apart to check the brushes, just the one needed replacement, was about 3/4 worn, not had ,it had taken 18 years and 110000 to get that far.Did not see any evidence that it had been apart, also the tangs had not been messed about with.Bonnet latches to be cleaned tomorrow.Wanted to get it all finished before the rain arrived but doubtful as have now decided to paint the chrome grill mesh black.Regards Ryszard...

Decided to have the drivers side mirror and window switches out the car and give them a good clean up because sometimes the drivers side mirror is erratic in operation. Did not take long to take the unit apart. Cleaned all the rubbish out of the top part of the unit, and then cleaned all the contact area’s on the board. Hey presto, works every time now. Another good job done and dusted, literally.

I drove to Calais and found my fuel consumption has dropped dramatically over a long trip. It has gone from about 48mpg down to 36mpg. I have noticed this over the last few months. Car goes perfectly otherwise. Hopefully this can be sorted. Any ideas? Trikey?

Swapped out my coil packs for a new set from dmgrs, it has solved my misfire and also looks like it has stopped the IPK glitching I was getting as a result of said misfire.
Still got a creaky something underneath which I thought retorquing my upper rear arms fixings would solve but apparently not hey ho
