Hello Veine,

How have you determined that the fuel pressure is ok? Have you seen 3.5 bar on a gauge connected to the Schrader valve?

The most common cause of your symptoms is fuel filter separation.

That's good Veine, thank you.
You say that the engine stopped whilst driving? This is important for fault diagnosis. Can you tell us more about what happened exactly?

You say there's "no power to sparkplug". Have you tested cylinders 1, 3 and 5 or just one of them? Do you have the ignition coils integral with the plug connectors on the LH ("front") bank?

With the ignition on and using a multimeter, test for +12v on both sides of fuse 2 in the underbonnet fusebox.

Have you checked to see if water damage has occurred to the ECU? This is located below the front windscreen under the cover on the nearside. Have you cleaned out the plenum where it is located. Water can get trapped in it If leaves get in there and block the drain holes.

OK Veine, everything necessary for combustion appears to be present except a spark. This is not too surprising as you've said that the car has been standing for five years.

You've fitted new sparking plugs, a new camshaft sensor and a new crankshaft sensor. You have the correct fuel pressure but no sparks at all on the LH bank. You have an electrical supply to the injectors and all the ignition coils (fuse 2).

It would be worth checking fuse 1 which supplies the crankshaft sensor and fuse 3 which supplies the camshaft position sensor. Re-seat them both and check with your multimeter.

As b152krz has advised, uncover the plenum chamber to check the ECM (Engine Control Module). On the last KV6 I worked on, a mouse had made a nest in this chamber, blocking the drain tubes. It's this ECM which controls your injectors and ignition coils.

Finally, just so that we don't accidentally overlook the possibility of immobilisation, does the starter motor turn normally when the ignition key is turned to position 3?

I can't do miracles but I have a Rover T4 diagnostic computer in Gävle (and Toaf), not so far from you, it's transportable but needs access to 240v. I could possibly come and look, and see if the computer can find the reason for the none starting.
