The picture you posted looks Copperleaf Red to me, Damson Red is darker and not metallic. Look at the trim plate on the passengers side as you open the front door down at the base of the B pillar, If it's Copperleaf it will be stamped CDX, if Damson it's CEB.

This is Damson Red

and

This is copperleaf

It could be firefrost red. paint code CEV

Open the n/s front door, at the bottom of the 'B' pillar you will see the Vin plate, in the paint box it will have the correct colour code for the car, mine is firefrost CEV, Copperleaf looks similar but is darker.

Firefrost wasn't introduced as a colour until the facelift cars.

If I'd engaged brain before posting, I would have remembered about the B-pillar plate. It is indeed Copperleaf CDX. Just another item on a list of inaccurate/omitted facts by the seller.🙄

Thanks for the input gentlemen.

Dougie.

It looks like a tidy example though and has OEM tourer mud flaps, facelift 16inch forked spoke alloys usually fitted to the Connoisseur SE, chrome mirror caps not body coloured and a tow bar

Quite correct. It also has cruise control (which was a pre-requisite) and a Webasto fbh which surprised me on a Club SE. The seller said he'd never heard of it. I'll need to work out how to turn it on.

Dougie.
