Default What is a high-line system worth?

Hi All,

I have a highline system, complete with all the wiring that I bought several years ago, I know that I am unlikely to ever get round to fitting it, so just wondering what to do with it. I see the various modules for sale on eBay, but not seen a complete setup with the loom.

What do people think the setup is worth?

Thanks

Sadly probably not as much as you think. This is old technology and unless you want to go for originality is not worth the effort of installing it.

Default hi line

I love my High line and if I had listened to it today instead of the one on my phone I wouldnt have wasted and extra 30 mins and 25 miles round and round Heathrow trying to get to the meet at Denham'

Default Hi Line

I used it to get home and thanks to the 2007 CD Reebs gave me I even get traffic notifications. It may be old tech but it still works extremely well. I would like to get a unit as a spare.

Also I am having problems with the Cd loader as often now it says on screen no disc loaded when there is, so have to switch ign on and off or eject and put the cd back in again to make it work, so maybe i should replace the cd loader in the boot - does anyone know?

I had that problem a while back Jennifer. You're right, it's the mechanical disc drive not loading the CD properly so the laser cannot read it.

Hi Jennifer,

Here's someone keen to dispose of an entire highline system:

Alternatively you could do what I did which was to remove the disc drive from a water damaged unit and transplant it into yours. It's not as complex as it sounds, just a few screws and some electrical connectors, quite fiddly though.
