Good morning all, it’s already hot and humid after a night of heavy rain. Jessica would like her hair cut shorter, so I am going to add that onto my list of tasks. The camera club wants me to do a walk through of the garden. We are now in our 5 month of rain. Must dash

How are you?

Morning all - it's Monday, Monday - is it going to be another Manic Monday?
A half bright day at the moment, cool breeze and we had a fair drop of rain overnight, so the gardens are well watered - at no cost to me
Daughter is going to do our weekly shop for us at teatime (quietest time according to her) so I need to prepare the list of our requirements.

Just worked out that we haven't seen our grandkids in the flesh for a cuddle for 6 weeks and 3 days

Strange how different things affect different people in different ways. A life long mate, who had a bone marrow transplant 2.5 years ago, has just worked out that he hasn't had an alcoholic drink since the 16th March. Nothing strange there - but for most of the time I've known him (55 years), he's been partial to half a gallon (or often half a dozen pints) of John Smiths Magnet Ale on at least a couple of days a week. He says he's not missing it

Morning everyone.

Hope you're all well and well supplied - we know Jeff is he keeps making me hungry .

Overcast and cool here but no rain and none forecast.

Need to pop into town today to the Post Office - haven't been into town for weeks so it'll be interesting to see how busy it is, or isn't. As it's located in a local Co-Op I'll see if they've any flour. Absolutely none to be had in any of our big supermarkets or Aldi, Lidl etc.

Afternoon all, was nice this morning but has clouded over and cooled off considerably now. Today me and Mrs RPWC celebrate our wedding anniversary. 24 years. Already planning something for our silver anniversary next year, if we're out of lockdown by then.😉

Congratulations to you both on your wedding anniversary Rich

I'm going to try & grow some peanut plants Might be the first nutty thing since the Nutty slack coal rationing days in't war

The "green" peanuts I ordered online have arrived & I'm going to go head to head with some shop bought ASDA redskin peanuts to see if they germinate , I don't know whether the shop bought ones have been treated with something for long shelf life

I once picked up a full load of peanuts from a warehouse in Catford London for Terry's chocolates in York in the 1970's , Everything was hand ball in those days with the peanuts being in 100CWT hessian sacks.

Those sacks cut your fingers to ribbons & you couldn't drag them up the trailer for fear of ripping the sacks.
Any way they was a mountain of loose peanuts on the bed of the trailer that I picked up & bagged.
I was eating them all the way up to York & the guy there said you've not been eating those have you! They're treated with a chemical to stop rodents eating them

Congratulations and best wishes to you and yours from us Rich - probably the strangest wedding anniversary you've ever had, but enjoy it anyway

Afternoon all, Turned into a beautiful sunny day albeit windy.
I've been raking the dead moss out of the lawns & they look terrible until the grass grows back.

Some (Tasty catch Co) Yellow Fin sole lemon/parsley fillets with jacket potatoes & John West Jacket toppers (Tuna & French dressing) for tea , That stuff is seriously good
