Well done Bob, you will soon be our very own South East ZT / 75 guru, could this be the first step in starting up a local "nano" meet ?

Cool Banana's trip out.............

....................in the sunshine. For today we was meeting up with Allen & Val, Mr & Mrs Ratty. So a easy morning was had by Matt and I. Shirley was off to see her Mum but be back by Noon.

Soon it was time for us to rock n roll to Endsleigh Garden Centre via the country route. We was soon there, yet another place I've not been to. What a huge place, you name it they flog it but the prices's. Captive audience with no competition. £35 for a Large Easter Egg or £799 for a huge figure of a Gorilla made of resin.

Allen and Val joined us and we made our way to the cafe for lunch and a chat. Both Matt and I were given presents from Thailand. Matt got a Wolliegog and me a Minion both made out of wool. Lunch was consumed and we chatted away about all sorts of things, as friends do. Then we had a wander around this massive warehouse, that best describes it. I fell in love with a huge oak cupboard with aquarium on top. No fish for me but I could get my two model Lamborghini's in, but not sure if I want to pay the £1299.00 price tag.

Soon it was time for us to part. We said our goodbyes and we left for home via Trago Mill's for Banana to top up her tank. Back to the house for a nice dinner and a cup of tea. Got to get the wing off of the Firefrost ZT for me to take back to London for one of Matt's customers.

Cool And so the stripping...................

......................................., of the cars, and not us, continues.

After the excellent dinner that Shirley prepared Matt and I grabbed some tools and off we went again in "Morris" to a driveway on the estate where we find parked up two more of Matt's cars. A very nice V6 ZT in Trophy Blue that wants for nothing, just waiting for someone to buy. Just a wee dent on the rear wing. It started on the button and ticked over sweetly.

Parked behind was the next in line to be stripped, needs a fair bit done to get up to a driveable standard. Firefrost ZT V6. This car was being moved to Matt's parents driveway. Matt had to put a power pack on to get it started, then a tyre pump on to inflate the front tyre.
And I got the honour of driving "Morris" out of the way. Been a long time since I have driven a auto. Kept forgetting that that's not the clutch but the brake pedal. Still I managed to get it moved.

The Firefrost was soon parked up and I had managed to get the ZTT parked, well more like abandoned, near(ish!) to the kerb. Matt soon started on taking the wing off, when this stunning BLACK MG ZT, with smoke coming off the rear brake, turned up driven by Nathan with his co-driver Emma. They stopped long enough to say hello before going onto see Shirley.

Another piece of interior was removed to be put into Banana, a grab handle for the drivers side. Wing and tools are loaded and we drove back to the house. A proper mini meet was happening. 2 MG ZT's, 1 ZTT, 1 Rover 75 and a MG ZR that belonged to a neighbour, plus we had the stripped ZT looking on. Back into the house for some yummy cake and tea.

We was then joined by another neighbour who popped in for a chat, and a yummy coffee which Matt made, he ended up making coffee for everyone. Lots of talking before Nathan and Emma had to make a move home. Matt and I followed them out as Matt was going to fit the grab handle into Banana. And Matt said that I was to park Banana on next doors drive, out of the way.

Back into the house to find Shirley and Tracy, the neighbour, drinking falling down water. So Matt and I had to start to catch up. And there was nibbles to eat, but I'm full up.

Back home tomorrow, need to get Banana ready for Sunday for our next meet at Arundel Castle for the MG meet organised by the MGOC.

Cool Apologies to Nathan..................

................................for saying his ZT is Black when in fact it is Anthraicate, think I've spelt it right.

Banana is all loaded up with bits for her part in the Banana Express network. Plus she has a few new bits of her own some already fitted by Matt, and the rest to be fitted by me. Loved every minute of my visit down this neck of the woods. Really enjoyed letting Matt help me strip the old ZT in his front garden. Sorry, I helped Matt. Been a very long time since I've worked on a car to this degree.

Next time I'm down, in 2 weeks, I'll be in the the LOUD one and I'll get some serious photography done again. And get Matt out with his new camera, suppose I'll have to give him a few pointers.

Don't forget to give us a wave, toot or a flash should you see us. Not been spotted yet.

Cool Home in 4 hours and 20 minutes.........................

...........................for the 240 miles trip back. Would have been quicker but 2 small hold ups, one as you join the M25 from the M4 and the other was at the end on the M11 close to the A406. An Audi A3 had suspension failure and was trying park up safely not helped by the idiots trying to pass him either side but he done it.

Banana ran her usual sweet self, got the thumbs up from a MK 2 Ford Escort painted in Yucky Yellow, not a Ford colour either. On the M5 we saw 2 Rover 75's, one Moonstone and t'other was Wedgewood. On the M4 Dark Blue 75 and on the M11 a White Gold 75. No ZT's seen. But we did see a Yellow MG 3, 2 Trophy Yellow ZR's and 3 TF's in various colour's.

Many thanks to Shirley for putting up with Matt and I. Thank you for the lovely food as well.

Finishing mileage 184184
Mileage covered. 564
Av mpg. 40.6 by my calculations. The digital readout said 44.5
No oil or water used.

Now to get her washed for her trip down to Arundel Castle for the MG meet in the grounds. Come along if you live nearby. Unlike me, as this will be another 190 mile round trip.
