Seat Conversion....
Hi All...
I have manual Blue Monaco seats in my ZT ( trophy Blue )... As I'm always adding bits, I would like to convert to electric seats as I had in my last 75. Thing is, I like the Monaco seats, they suit my car ( It's my taste! )... so does anyone know if I can take the current seat frame and attach it to the workings for an electric seat? I've been staring at the Rimmer bros pics and the seat frames look the same for manual and electric, it just looks like the runners & sub frame differ. anyone tried this before??? Thanks Phil |

Hi Phil.
I did a similar job to my ZT earlier this year. I bought blue alcantata manual seats but wanted electric so bought a set of contemporary se full leather electric heated seats and swapped the covers over. Think that's the easiest way to do it. Not too sure about attaching the electrics to a manual seat frame. Rick |

Thanks Rick.... It seems you can pick up R75 electric seats for a lot less than ZT versions go for, that's why I wondered if the frames were compatible.... I would want to attach my current seats to the electric assembly of a 75 ( Cheapskate I know!! )...
Actually, I thinks this might be similar to what you have done? did you mean you used 75 seats and took off the seat squabs etc, the ZT ones are different? Cheers Phil Last edited by ninaandphil; 29th November 2014 at 23:44.. |

I used the rover 75 contemporary se seat frames which are exactly the same as the ZT frames so the seat covers were a straight swap
