There were quite a few about when I was kid.

I've done a bit more checking the bonnet ornament was actually 50-55 on the Rambler. The one shown was retrofitted to a 59 Met.

Does the little fellow still look like Winston Churchill?

No, though by a bizzare co-incidence he was born within days of said Mr C dying.

That car must have been a 65 ish model, based on the age of the other item in the photo.

Was it 65 he died.. Remember the funeral was telivised. First -big- funeral I´d eve seen.
