Evening all.

The weather here has gone completely bonkers.

From snow a couple of days ago to +10 degrees - we’ve had the washing on the line and it's virtually dry .

Quizzie is rather confused having gone from cold, white stuff to floods.

Here, Quizzie is kindly tidying up a bit . The actual river is by the trees on the right hand side

The bridge is now actually under water as the levels are still rising with more rain on the way.

Apparently nothing to with the 450 houses that have just been built a few hundred yards downstream on land that used to be fields

Can you get hold of some "Brick acid"

Be very, very careful with it - it will burn skin and destroy eyes. Start with it well diluted just in case it reacts with the flagstones themselves. In those famous words- try on an inconspicuous area first.

Hope that helps.

Good Luck.
Good morning Andy,

Many thanks for the link to the acid based cleaner. I made progress yesterday and managed to get most of lime wash removed using a stiff wire brush and a bucket of soapy water. Whilst I am out this morning I will look out for a patio cleaner and see if it’s acid based, although I am nervous about using it because of the dangerous chemicals. Thanks for stepping up with your advice, it is appreciated.

Morning all, how is everyone?

2 months on, Jessica continues to wear a chest brace for the fractures in her spine and this is really helping her. The brace looks like something Robo Cop wears, but it seems to work The surgeon said it will gradually force the fractures to close and heal over 3 - 4 months. She is on double strength calcium and Vitamin D has speeded up healing.

Cool

Morning Phil, and fellow early risers.

Glad to hear that Jessica is progressing well. I hope you are keeping well.

All ok here in the land of the pasty.

After the gorgeous day yesterday we had rain last night. This morning it’s overcast but the clouds are racing along. And it’s still mild.

Morning all, It's very windy here with garden furniture blown around & planters overturned this morning, It's the first time in months I've seen our driveway dry with this strong wind. Sleet & snow forecast for later
