Default Webasto Timer

All excited today, my Webasto 1530 Timer arrived (complete with a bonus I hadn't expected, a wiring loom labelled up and with the correct plug for the timer).

Rushed out to the car, spent 10 minutes looking, and gave up.
Where can I put the ruddy thing?

Centre armrest is full (torch and power socket), I have 2 cupholders fitted so not much room on the centre console, and my GPS mounting is on the "eyebrow" over the radio.

So where is it supposed to go?

Mick

looks quite good on the driver side cupholder blank (think I drilled through so it sat on its plug neatly), or in the top right of the cubbyhole where they originally were (but more hassle to fit)

What about the glove compartment....

p.s. I thought South of France was warm?

my next suggestion crossed in the post...

(But, being pedantic, look at your actual question!)

OK, apologies all round.
Any ideas, or do I have to scrap something I already have.

Hi Froggy,
in general I suspect that it is better to locate the timer where it can be read easily, e.g. the cubby box, and find an alternative location for the torch.

How about moving the torch to one end (rear) of the main compartment in the cubby box and then putting the heater timer where the torch was? Unless you use it for holding CDs it shouldn't be a problem, although the limitaiton might be how much space the torch holder needs below the cubby box. If it is too much, perhaps the torch could be put horizontally at the bottom of the cubby box with the fitting at the front.

Other alternatives for locating the torch could be:-
glovebox rear face, in a door pocket or one edge of the shelf above the glove box.

Regards,
Kearton

The 1533 oval and matches the air vents etc much harder placing a rectangle other than in its oem position in the armrest!

I have timers in both my cars and I use them to run the heater for half an hour every month I don;t use the timer as I find it unreliable.

In fact every time I do use them they have normally lost its clock settings anyway! There is no battery backup so don't forget to completely reset the thing after a battery disconnect
