They are available new of Course from Rimmers or any XPart Parts dealer.
Not the cheapest option of course.
Balance £72.96 + VAT Each Power £90.64 + VAT
Some Garage repairers don't charge much less than the new ones.

Hi,

How have you tested your VIS motors?

Have you seen this thread?

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ght=VIS+repair

Problem with repairing them is that your car is off the road whilst they are repaired. much better if you had a spare set so you are still able to use the car.

Hi,

VIS motors are not working came from garage which had the car on the T4. As the car is off the road due to the non starting problem that happened yesterday the need for a spare set of VIS motors doesnt really apply.

Why do you people like these cars ? had a 728 BMW for 4 yrs without a single problem even with twice the mileage, have 2 major faults on this British built thing in one week ! Thank god I still have the Bmw.

Once sorted I'm very tempted to get rid of it .... grrrrr Only brought it to be more green as it has lpg, even the diesel seems to suffer from problems looking at these forums and the a ride quality isnt as good as the BMW.

I suggest you have a careful look who supplied many of the components for your 75, yes it's BMW.

In fact most of the un-reliable parts for the 75/ZT are made by German manufacturers not British.

The VIS motors are made by Mann and electric motors within them supplied by Buhler.

The cooling fans that fail are made by Siemens, and the fuel pumps that fail on the diesel are made by VDO.

Not forgetting the door catches that so many people have recently had problems with, made by Bosch.

On a serious note you've been unlucky with the problems that you've had. for every thread about a problem there's many more owners who have had no problems at all with their cars.

In two and a half years the only faults on both my 75's have been a door catch , in tank fuel pump (diesel) and of course the VIS motors on the V6.

Hope your problems are resolved soon, then you can enjoy your car.

Russ

I can't understand why anyone would want one of these cars either. I think you'll have to sell yours off cheap (after you've had everything fixed of course). What's the spec BTW.
