Time to forget the football.
2 Englishmen got first and runner up the BMW Open in Munich today! That's something to be proud of. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...232744,00.html David Horsey Ross Fisher Both future major winners without a doubt. Justin Rose has the current lead at TPC River Highlands also. Ryder Cup this September! I know it's only golf but I love it! Cricket going OK too! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cric...nd/8761962.stm

What a load of rubbish - the same rubbish they displayed in the first three games - they were an absolute disgrace - and no excuses.

England were a shambles, and Capello has been shown to be a stubborn fool. His last gamble was putting the free-scoring Heskey on to save the day! He can't even get in the Villa team. |

I can't say i'm suprised at the way the England team performed at this world cup, their true ability is disguised by the technically superior foreigners who "carry" them to "team success" in the premiership.Put the English players together and you have a disjointed group who flatter to deceive!
The problem gos right back to our coaching of youngsters where the the emphasis is on commitment, effort and the bulldog spirit rather than skill and technique. When will the FA realise that the British blood and thunder is not enough at the highest level?Have you heard parents on a Sunday morning?"Take him out","Break his leg". I can't think of a worse team than England in SA 2010,three awful performances and an average one which they could easily have lost or drawn. This team and manager would be lucky to survive in the Championship.

England have won the cup once, in England and in 1966, so long ago that even colour tv was not around, so why do they honestly belive every time a tournament comes along that they surely must win it and then the whole nation is shocked and disapointed when they play badly and are sent home, it happens evey time. so there we have it a good word to say about England, they are consistant. forca Portugal

Thank goodness it's all over for England. Now perhaps we can all get back to normallity. The hipe that football causes is pathetic that 22 supposedly grown men [or are they still children without a brain] kicking a bladder about a field and when they get a goal jump for joy [thats what they get paid to do] and then they hug and kiss each other! For god sake it's obscene. If I jumped for joy, hugged and kissed my mates everytime I did my job correctly I would be locked up as being insane!!!!! Get a life lets face it football is over-rated, turn all the football grounds into speedway stadiums and lets see some REAL exciting entertainment. Do you think I a little biased against football????
