I know it is a bumblebee. I was referring to not seeing any member of the bee family. Bumblebee, honey bee, leaf cutter, etc etc. And that is the only member of the bee family I have seen this year. No doubt I will photograph hundreds again this year.

Edit: As for the exact species of the 25 native bumblebees I am not keen enough to look up

Managed to get the Marina out again on Friday, I keep thinking about selling it, especially when it spends most of its days in the garage sleeping and I can't drive it because of the damn weather!
Then when I take it out, all those thoughts disappear.

I went to Siccaridge wood again yesterday, managed to have another play with my new filter.

I got the macro lens out the other day... Not much about and it started to rain.
Determined to make the most of it, having put it on, between showers I took a picture of my old mate Oscar. (While standing at the other end of the garden!)
He was ten in March. Still as handsome as ever.
