IOVOX CD80 Reset Button
Hi Chaps, just bought a new 75 Facelift but I dont know what the code is. I have read a thread on how to change the code and one of the steps is to lower the face a press the Reset. I have looked behind the face but cant see where the |Reset is, where is it please. Also Iam thinking of putting another CD80 in because the CD Player jumps sometimes. I have another CD80 but dont know the code so will the same steps to entering a new code apply? Thanks chaps.

I don't have this model but as a general rule a reset button is usually a small button in a recess pressed with a pin.

Blimey, no wonder I didnt see it even with my glasses on. Thanks for that. Can you answer the second part of my question please. Whether I can recode a CD80 that I dont have the code for to start with. I.e If I fit it in the car even though I dont know the code, can I then go through the steps to add a new code without knowing the original code. Cheers

Hi Dave, I have found that post/procedure but just wanted to know if that procedure will work if I install a CD80 that I do not have the code for, will it still let me reset the code. Cheers

Some of these Iovox units were so troublesome with losing codes on many occasions some of them have been bypassed.
Have you tried just pressing enter on the R/H control dial when 0000 appears, you may get a surprise and find it has been bypassed? |

Dave, you are absolutely right, I do need to take more water with it. Funny thing is, I had to put a new battery in the car this morning as the other died very rapidly and when I switched the CD80 on, it said Code 9252, I pressed the right button and it sprung into life. Is this common behaviour to display the code when you switch it on after doing a battery disconnect?
