Talking Finally the Radio and TV-module

Hello guys,

I finally got the two missing modules I need for this retrofit as shown below. maybe for some of you a lot of money, but I thougt it was a reasonable price on e-bay incl shipping to Holland:

- BMW E39 - E46 - E38 - X5 Autoradio BM24 TMC £141.93

- BMW Videomodul TV modul E46 E39 X3 X5 M3 M5 £140.00

Now I'm waiting till that cable loom has finished.

Does anyone has the brackets for these two?

Keep you informed, Regards Ralph

Have not got any of the Brackets, but will look on EPC when I get home tonight see if they are still available, as a couple of Members are after them.

Thumbs up Brackets

John, you're the best

I'll contact X-Parts in Holland and order them. Question: if they are cheaper in the UK, can you bring them for me to the Lux meet? I'll send you the money then and probably delivery costs. Do you have Pay-Pal. Anyway lets hear from X-Part Holland first how much everything is. I let you know.

regards, Ralph

Overall view with all units connected by cable loom from Kufatec

Alpine High Line head unit with phone mute cables and ISO adapted connector

Head unit rear view with connectors

TV-module different views with headconnectors and additional CD-changer connector

Radio module BM24 with connectors and external antenna

GPS navigation computer MKIII with side connectors to the TV-Module

GPS navigation MKIII front view

URGENT QUESTIONS

-Does somebody know how to connect the remote controls from the steering wheel on this? Seemes that I'm missing something

- Also the connector from the CD-changer on the cable loom is in the boot. Mines is mounted in the dash. How can I lengthen this cable?

- I'm still looking for the brackets of the radio and TV-module. Can anyone help me or shall I ask X-parts?

Regards Ralph

If no joy for Brackets XPart still do them, but not cheap I'm afraid.
Scrap Yards and EBay may be only alternative.

Doooh Just realised posted Part Numbers etc in Post 24

As I've now paid my sub, I suppose I'm now properly entitled to post messages and replies!!! Ralph I've been following this and other threads on the same subject. I want to upgrade to Highline too, I've got most of the parts, I think(!) radio module (a rover one!!) monitor, computer (Rover MK??) and a B*W trimble unit. I missed a brand new Rover cable on ebay last year and have never seen one since! I've contacted Kufatec by email with the above parts list asking for a price, I got a reply saying they can't make cables for Rover!!! Now I notice you've had more success, any help or did you get refused at the beginning? Also I notice you have no 'trimble' fitted nor aerial, have you used a B*M nav computer instead? I have seen a thread elsewhere regards the remote control, I'll see if I can find it.

Great job!!!!

Regards

Schotten Kufatec will be able to do you a cable but they may need you to tell them exactly what you want.

It is pretty much identical to one from an E46 only the actual length may be an issue
They need to know the type of radio you have (round or flat pin)

You could ask them to send you one on sale or return then take decent Pics and create a wiring diagram of what they have sent to post here I could easily work out what is or is not missing from there
