Default Crankshaft pulley failure after 25000 miles

Have just had a DMGRS pulley failure after just 2 years (on the diesel). Paid £100 for it + of course a destroyed fanbelt. Anyone else had problems? Not sure whether to go for the Conteco this time at £189.

I'd always use the Corteco, but I'd not pay £190 for it.

Trusted seller: £149.99

Not so well known ebay seller: £124.49

If you want to get a new bolt make sure you order it at the same time.

I didn't realise island 4x4 sell the pulley comes without one, can be expensive to order it separately. I made this mistake earlier this year, read here: https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...5&postcount=19

HI Dave.
What use/how is 30% off going to do you any good if its the same pulley and it goes again, it will be swallowed up by labour cost for fitting, Corteco is the only pulley to fit to our cars, and the Freelander 1, they have lasted 100,000 miles or more originally, all other pulleys seem to fail by cheap fit twice.

Also only fit gates belts links below.

Fit both for piece of mind

PS unless the mount from DMGRS was a Corteco one then I would ask if it was within the 2yr warranty? don't forget the price is £60.00 more than anywhere else even if it was/is a Corteco.
