Hi,
my 75 has H&R lowering springs and MG ZT comfort dampers. On good roads it is perfect, however, on bad ones it is really harsh and not comfortable at all. I am actually thinking of putting the original springs back and keeping the MG ZT comfort dampers so that the handling will be stiff, but ride will be comfy again..
I wonder what it would be like if I had with H&R springs MG ZT sport dampers...

The H&R springs are progressive so I wouldn't have thought they are what is causing your harsh ride, they only stiffen up when cornering.Have you considered refitting your OEM dampers alongside the H&R springs?

I have Eibach pro springs along with the factory dampers and the ride is very comfortable on all surfaces. The handling is vastly improved when cornering,no body roll whatsoever now.Eibach state that their progressive springs are designed to work with OEM dampers so that could well be the case with H&R too.

Well, if only you were right.. First I had H&R springs with original 75 dampers and the car was almost undrivable on uneven roads, it got better with MG comfort dampers (from Mat Price), but I am afraid that is about how far I have come and honestly I tired of it now. So no more trying something new for me..
I just hope original springs with mg comfort dampers will be ok..

hi,motobuild springs fitted.no real difference in ride quality but i will assume ride will harden slightly as the springs settle.will run for 4 weeks and recheck ride height to see how they have settled.top bearings both shot so had them replaced as well.
