Morning damp people (that should cover everyone!). It's NOT raining in Barney (that's the village where the caravan site is) and it is very slightly brighter than it has been. I was hoping that meant we'd seen the back of the rain - the caravan awning badly needs some warmth to dry it out. Unfortunately, the BBC local weather forecast suggests there's more heavy stuff on the way today

It is some years since I was last there but even then pubs were fast disappearing. The Leprechaun was still open but its two closest rivals were both boarded up. Sad to see really but a sign of the times I guess.
