No, unfortunately more to it than that.
Post 31 by Duotone is explaining it. Isolating the switch from the circuit board, pity the photos have gone. However, Duotone is still an active member.

Thanks Mike. I'll see what I can understand without pictures.

Edit: Aha! Post #33 "The heated seat switch would do this, if 15 mins isn't long enough just press it again." When your bum starts to cool down, press the switch again. Simple.

A former member did a "how to" for fitting aftermarket heat pads. Miles better than the originals. I'll have a look for it.

Unfortunately, with the standard thermostats, you will be lucky if they stay on 5 mins.
